Nintendo signs marketing pact with Six Flags to promote newest game
Six Flags Inc. are teaming up on a marketing relationship that will allow the video-game console maker to showcase its new Wario Land: Shake It game at theme parks throughout the country.
Financial terms of the marketing relationship were not disclosed.
Ten Six Flags theme parks will host areas where park guests can try out the game and compete for the chance to win prizes a Nintendo system, a copy of the game and Six Flags merchandise. Six Flags Great Escape Lodge & Indoor Waterpark in Queensbury will not be one of them.
Redmond, Wash.-based Nintendo of America is owned by Nintendo Co. Ltd. in Japan. Since being founded in 1983, Nintendo has sold nearly 2.7 billion video games and more than 470 million game consoles worldwide.
