Upon moving to Florida from New York about eight years ago I immediately looked for a local Republican Party to join.

To my surprise, there were no local chapters of the party to be found in the St. Petersburg or Clearwater phone books. But there were listings for local chapters of the Democratic Party.

I let that slide for years, but today, now living in St. Lucie County, looking online for a local Republican Party I could find no listing that gave me an opportunity to send an e-mail to voice my renewed support for the GOP based upon the wondrous emergence of a real candidate, Sarah Palin a candidate I would be proud to support in her new role as leader of the real American people.
