Web Tv Offers New Marketing Options
In what started as a hobby filming scuba divers, Lori and Steve Wishard looked beyond the lens and launched a video online marketing company for area businesses and nonprofits.
The Wishards have owned Media Rapids Inc. for three years, but as demand for online marketing content grows, they recently launched a Web site dedicated solely to video webcasting through niche stations online at Media Rapids TV.
Some full-service local agencies are beginning to look into video online marketing as viewers transition from traditional media to more cost-effective Web-based outlets. As competition increases, Lori Wishard said Media Rapids TV aims to promote Jacksonville-based businesses and nonprofits by offering full production capabilities, a studio and Web site designers to help bring visitors to the site and to Jacksonville.
The Wishards, both certified divers, got involved in videography through their interest in scuba diving and began underwater videography on a referral basis. In 2005, Steve started Media Rapids focused on helping improve companies’ Web sites.
